I scream…..you scream……we all scream for…..frozen yogurt?
Yep, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t really love ice cream, but with all the sugar and other stuff, well….let’s just say it’s not part of a healthy eating plan.
However, that doesn’t mean that you have to deny yourself either! While frozen yogurt can be a healthier choice than ice cream, most of the time it is still loaded with all kinds of sugar.
This delicious Strawberry Frozen Yogurt clocks in at 32 grams of sugar, which is quite high, except that the sugar is natural. It comes from the yummy strawberries, with the addition of a couple of tablespoons of coconut sugar.
So, you CAN have dessert and not feel guilty one little bit! That sounds wonderful to me!
This recipe is kid approved, so your littles will thank you for it and you’ll know that you are giving them something healthy to eat while they think they’re having dessert!
Not a strawberry fan? No problem, swap them out for raspberries, peaches or mango! Yummy in your tummy!

Strawberry Frozen Yogurt
- 3 C frozen strawberries
- 1 tablespoons coconut sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 C plain Greek yogurt
- Place all ingredients in blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Approximately 1 minute.
- Place in icecream maker and process for about 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can just place it in a bowl, cover and freeze. It will be ready to serve in about 10 minutes.
