Creamy Cucumber Ranch Dressing

Creamy cucumber ranch dressing is easy to do when you aren’t concerned with your health and diet, but that’s an entirely different story when you are.

This Creamy Cucumber Ranch Dressing is delicious!

Ok, so I like vinaigrette dressings, in fact, I make a pretty mean balsamic version, but after a while, your taste buds just long for something a little different. (At least mine do)

It’s also a very publicized fact that I am the self-proclaimed mayo Queen, and my favorite all time dressing is Thousand Island. (I’ll give you a great alternative for that in another post).  But, when you’re on a healthy diet, lots of mayo just doesn’t cut it anymore. And, while I like ranch dressing, I’ve never been a huge fan, but hey, when your taste buds are craving something creamy, this creamy cucumber ranch dressing hits the spot!

So, I opened up my fridge and found the perfect substitute right in front of me!  The magic sauce in this dressing is zero fat organic Greek yogurt!  I know, I can hear you, but trust me, this dressing doesn’t end up tasting like plain ole yogurt, I promise!

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt kosher, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper fresh ground
  • 1/2 tsp dill dried
  • 3/4 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp honey raw, unfiltered
  • 1 C cucumber seedless, peeled and chopped
  • 1 C Greek yogurt plain, fat-free

Instructions

  • Place herbs and spices in food processor and process until finely minced (about 30 seconds).
  • Add remaining ingredients and process until fully combined.

So, I know that I’ve mentioned plenty of times before that in my opinion, when you’re trying to lose weight or maintain your ideal weight, you should NEVER try to do it by giving up all the stuff you love!  That kind of behavior has never been sustainable for me, and I don’t know anyone who has been able to do it either!

My entire opinion, and the purpose of this entire site, is to provide alternatives that are very tasty and can satisfy a craving for high calorie, high fat, high sodium, (you get my drift) foods.
