Nothing is more comforting than chocolate, who’s with me?!  This Cashew Butter Banana Chocolate Protein Shake is so yummy!

And, it’s an awesome way to curb those mid-afternoon munchie cravings, keep your diet on track and maintain your blood sugar levels.  This shake will definitely keep you going till dinner!

If you can’t find the organic 100% cacao nibs, you can totally substitute them for unsweetened cocoa powder.  That way you get the yummy chocolatey goodness, with none of the sugar!  Not to mention the antioxidant benefits of the chocolate.

This cashew butter, banana and chocolate protein shake is just all around delish!

This recipe is the day three (3) afternoon snack recipe of my 7-Day Meal Plan program. I created the program because after researching the meal plan program provided by a recognized authority on diabetes, I was appalled at the ingredients and nutrition values.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 banana medium
  • 1 Cup Cashew Milk unsweetened
  • 1 packet Sustain Protein Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Cashew Butter
  • 1 teaspoon organic chocolate nibs

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to blender in order shown. Blitz until smooth. Approximately 2 minutes.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

You can definitely substitute the cacao nibs for one teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder.  Also, my banana was frozen.  If you don't have a frozen banana, just use a regular one and add in some ice to make it more like a shake.
