I'll have to admit, I'm rather partial to Unconventional Foodie, but I also LOVE Culinary Queen……
I truly believe your health is NOT just about what you eat, but also about emotional triggers that come from the constant challenges that men, women, children and seniors deal with daily. Challenges with their health, nutrition, physical activity, relationships, career, and their relationship with the Universe.
Because so many of us today are more aware of the importance of proper diet, nutrition and exercise, many are chasing popular trends or weight loss with inconsistent results. How would it feel if you could achieve and maintain your ideal weight, have more energy, feel better, be better informed about your nutritional choices and achieve more balance in your life?
Five years ago, I thought achieving balance in my life was a unicorn I was chasing. I thought it was impossible for me. NOW I have maintained my weight for almost a year, I have more ENERGY, I feel 1000% better. And most importantly I love helping women who are sick and tired of yo-yo dieting, frustrated with their efforts to control their blood sugar and cholesterol levels and wondering if they can ever find something to eat that doesn’t taste like cardboard, is quick and easy to prepare and is something that the whole family will like so she doesn’t feel like a short order cook every day.
But it was not always like that… Several years ago, after going to the doctor, I found I had elevated blood sugar, high cholesterol, that my husband had diabetes and after starting on statin medications… I was allergic to them.
Those findings sent me on a journey of research to find a diet and nutrition lifestyle that would provide us with the positive outcomes that we required.
Since previous experience had taught me that both my husband and I had issues with sticking to other “diet” formulas, I knew that my research was going to have to provide us with something easy, delicious and sustainable.
What I came to understand is that it would also require us to make some changes. Those changes included my grocery shopping habits, proving to my husband it would be tasty and satisfying and that mindset plays a huge part in achieving and maintaining a healthy life.
I'm happy to tell you that I have found this holy grail of nutritional nirvana! I have lost 30 pounds, dropped several sizes, feel better than I have in years, and I'm even happier to announce my husband is not only healthier, but he also loves the food!
Another happy thing that happened along the way is I discovered my true passion and purpose in life. Through all the extensive research, trial and error in my kitchen and the positive results that we have achieved, I also invested a great deal in my education, and I am now a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.

What is a Health Coach anyway? Great question!
A Health Coach is a supportive mentor and wellness authority who works with clients to help them feel their best through food and lifestyle changes. Instead of prescribing one diet or way of exercising, Health Coaches tailor individualized wellness programs to meet their clients' needs. Doesn't that sound like a far cry from the five (5) minutes you get with other health care providers?
OK, but why would I need a Health Coach? Another great question!
Well, the simple answer is relationships, exercise, career and spirituality are just as important to your health as the food you eat. As a Health Coach, I understand that and take a holistic approach to supporting you as a whole person, and to also guide you through the maze of conflicting nutrition information.
I hold a safe, judgement free space where you will be heard. Your goals will be developed and small, achievable action steps will be implemented. Small actions, taken over time, become new habits, and create huge changes.

I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition* where I studied a variety of dietary theories and practical lifestyle coaching methods. With my knowledge, we co-create completely personalized actions based on your goals to move you toward your ideal vision of health within you unique body, lifestyle, preferences and resources.
My education has equipped me with extensive, cutting-edge knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching and prevention. Drawing on my expertise, I work with my clients to help make lifestyle changes and choose health-promoting ways that produce real and lasting results. You will develop a deeper understanding of food and lifestyle choices that work best for you, improving your energy, balance, health and happiness.
